Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy (RCT) is advised when the tooth's nerve becomes inflammed or infected due to trauma, or through decay. Once this internal structure becomes inflammed, the nerve must be removed or the tooth may require extraction. RCT is generally completed in two stages and once completed it is highly recommended that a crown be placed over your weakened root-filled tooth to strengthen and protect it.
